Today would have marked my mother\u2019s 80th birthday\u2014a milestone rich with love, memories, and reflection.<\/p>\n
She was known by many names\u2014Mom to me, Nonna to my children, and a cherished friend to countless others. Even though she\u2019s no longer with us, her impact remains strong, and her memory deserves to be celebrated.<\/p>\n
My mom was a fighter. She faced personal hardships and life\u2019s unexpected storms, yet she always chose strength over surrender. \u201cI Will Survive<\/a>\u201d<\/em> wasn\u2019t just a song she liked\u2014it became her quiet anthem. However, what made her remarkable wasn\u2019t just her endurance; it was her compassion. Her trials only deepened her love for others.<\/p>\n She lived with purpose. She was the kind of person who made people feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether hosting Sunday dinners, praying for someone in need, or simply showing up with a warm smile, she gave from the heart. She served others not out of obligation, but from a place of unwavering faith and genuine love.<\/p>\n Her walk with God anchored her life. \u201cThe Goodness of God<\/a>\u201d<\/em> reflected her testimony\u2014one of faithfulness, perseverance, and grace. She believed in God\u2019s promises and lived each day trusting in His goodness, even when life was difficult.<\/p>\n When she passed earlier this year, it was evident how many lives she had touched. Nearly 300 people attended the visitation and memorial. She wasn\u2019t a public figure, but she invested in people, and they remembered her.<\/p>\n Today, I remember her, too. I miss her laugh, her hugs, her wisdom, and her spirit. I celebrate her legacy, her strength, and the 80 years she would have celebrated today. Her memory lives on in our hearts, our stories, and our faith.<\/p>\n Happy Birthday, Mom. You were brave. Mom, you were faithful.
